What We Do
At PEAK Developmental Pediatrics, we help families understand their child’s development and provide clear guidance when concerns arise about learning, behavior, attention, or social development.
With decades of experience in developmental pediatrics, we provide thoughtful, comprehensive evaluations that focus on the whole child — strengths as well as challenges.
Comprehensive Developmental Evaluations
We evaluate children and adolescents with concerns such as:
Autism spectrum disorder
ADHD and attention difficulties
Developmental delays
Speech and language concerns
Learning differences and school difficulties
Behavioral and emotional regulation challenges
Social communication difficulties
Our evaluations include a detailed medical and developmental history, behavioral observation, and careful analysis of developmental patterns. We work closely with families to understand the full picture of a child’s development.
Clear Answers and Practical Guidance
Families often come to us with questions and uncertainty. Our goal is to provide clear explanations and practical next steps.
After each evaluation, families receive:
A detailed explanation of findings
Individualized recommendations for home, school, and therapy
Guidance on educational supports and community resources
Ongoing Support
For children who benefit from continued care, we offer follow-up visits to support developmental progress and treatment planning. This may include ADHD management, monitoring developmental changes, and helping families navigate school and therapy services.
A Collaborative Approach
We believe the best care happens through partnership. We work closely with parents, educators, therapists, and other professionals to help each child reach their full potential.
Who We Help
We work with infants, children, and adolescents who may be experiencing differences in development, learning, attention, or behavior.
Families often seek our expertise when their child is experiencing:
Concerns about autism spectrum disorder
Attention and focus difficulties such as ADHD
Speech, language, or communication delays
Learning challenges or academic struggles
Developmental delays in younger children
Genetic conditions
Social interaction difficulties
Behavioral or emotional regulation challenges
Some families come with specific concerns, while others simply feel that their child’s development may be unfolding differently. Our role is to help clarify those concerns and provide guidance about next steps.
Our Services
Our Services
At PEAK Developmental Pediatrics, we provide expert evaluation and care for children with developmental, learning, and behavioral differences. Our services are designed to give families clear answers, thoughtful guidance, and ongoing support as their child grows.
Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluations
The answers families are searching for
When developmental, learning, or behavioral concerns arise, a thorough evaluation can help clarify what a child needs to thrive.
Our comprehensive assessments explore the full picture of a child’s development and may help identify conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, learning differences, or social communication challenges.
Evaluations include a detailed developmental history, clinical observation, and review of medical and educational information. Families receive a comprehensive written report with clear explanations and individualized recommendations for school, therapy, and home support.
Ongoing Developmental Pediatric Care
Guidance as your child grows
Children with developmental differences often benefit from continued support as they move through new stages of development.
We provide ongoing care to monitor developmental progress, support school planning, and help families navigate therapies, educational services, and behavioral strategies. Follow-up visits allow recommendations to evolve as children grow and their needs change.
Our goal is to serve as a trusted partner for families over time.
Medication Management
Thoughtful treatment when it is helpful
Medication can be an important part of care for some children, particularly those with attention and focus difficulties such as ADHD.
When medication is appropriate, treatment decisions are made carefully and in close partnership with families. Follow-up visits allow us to monitor effectiveness, adjust treatment as needed, and ensure that medication is integrated into a broader developmental care plan.
Every child’s developmental journey is unique. Our goal is to provide families with the understanding, guidance, and support needed to help each child reach their full potential.
What to Expect From an Evaluation
A developmental evaluation is designed to help families better understand their child’s development, learning style, and areas where additional support may be helpful. Our goal is to provide clear answers and practical guidance in a thoughtful and supportive environment.
Before the Visit
Before the appointment, families may be asked to complete questionnaires and share any helpful records, such as school reports, previous evaluations, or therapy notes. Reviewing this information ahead of time allows us to make the most of our time together.
During the Evaluation
The evaluation typically includes several components:
A detailed developmental history
We spend time talking with parents about their child’s early development, medical history, learning experiences, and current concerns.
Observation and interaction with your child
We observe how your child communicates, learns, plays, and responds during the visit. These observations help us understand developmental patterns and strengths.
Review of educational and therapy information
If available, we review school reports, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), therapy notes, or previous assessments to better understand your child’s learning and support needs.
After the Evaluation
Following the visit, families receive:
A clear explanation of the findings
A comprehensive written report
Individualized recommendations for home, school, and therapy
Guidance about next steps and resources
Our Goal
Families often arrive with many questions. Our goal is to help you leave with a clearer understanding of your child’s development and a plan that supports their continued growth and success.
Dr. Adam
I am a board-certified Developmental Pediatrician with more than 19 years of experience caring for children with developmental, behavioral, and learning differences. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of helping children and families better understand how their children learn, grow, and interact with the world.
My approach focuses on listening carefully to families and seeing the whole child—not just a diagnosis. Every child has unique strengths, and my goal is to help parents understand those strengths while also addressing the challenges that may be affecting development, behavior, or learning.
I work closely with families to provide thoughtful evaluations, clear explanations, and practical strategies that can help children succeed at home, in school, and in their communities.
After decades in academic medicine, military service, and large healthcare systems, I created this practice to offer families a more personal, thoughtful, and unhurried experience. My goal is simple: to provide expert developmental care while giving families the time and attention they deserve.
Why Families Choose Our Practice
Families seek developmental care when they want clear answers, experienced guidance, and a thoughtful approach to their child’s needs. At PEAK Developmental Pediatrics, our practice is designed to provide the time, expertise, and individualized attention that developmental concerns often require.
Extensive Experience
With decades of experience in developmental pediatrics, we bring deep clinical expertise to complex developmental, learning, and behavioral concerns. Families benefit from an experienced perspective that recognizes subtle developmental patterns and helps clarify diagnoses when questions arise.
Time to Listen and Understand
Developmental concerns are rarely simple. Our practice structure allows for longer visits and thoughtful conversations so that parents feel heard and their child’s full developmental story can be understood.
Clear Answers and Practical Guidance
Families often arrive with uncertainty and many questions. Our goal is to provide clear explanations, comprehensive written reports, and practical recommendations that families can use at home, at school, and with therapists.
A Whole-Child Perspective
We look beyond a single diagnosis to understand each child’s strengths, learning style, and developmental profile. This approach helps families and educators support children in ways that build confidence and long-term success.
Partnership with Families
We believe the best care happens through collaboration. We work closely with parents and coordinate with schools, therapists, and other professionals involved in a child’s care to ensure recommendations are practical and meaningful.
Pricing and Fees
We believe families should have clear information about the cost of care. Our practice is a private-pay model, which allows us to provide longer visits, comprehensive evaluations, and individualized attention.
Although we do not bill insurance directly, many families use out-of-network benefits and submit a superbill for possible reimbursement.

Insurance and Payment
Why We Do Not Bill Insurance
At PEAK Developmental Pediatrics, our goal is to provide thoughtful, thorough care for children and families. Developmental evaluations and follow-up visits often require more time and individualized attention than traditional insurance-based models allow.
By operating outside of insurance networks, we are able to:
Spend more time with families during evaluations and visits
Provide comprehensive developmental assessments without restrictive time limits
Focus on clinical care rather than insurance requirements and authorizations
Offer personalized recommendations tailored to each child’s needs
This approach allows us to structure visits around what is most helpful for families and children rather than what is dictated by insurance policies.
Using Out-of-Network Benefits
Although we do not bill insurance companies directly, many families are able to use their out-of-network benefits to receive partial reimbursement.
After your visit, we will provide a superbill, which is a detailed receipt that includes the information insurance companies typically require for reimbursement.
A superbill generally includes:
The provider’s information and credentials
The date and type of service provided
Diagnosis and billing codes
The amount paid for the visit
Families can submit this document directly to their insurance company. Depending on the specifics of your insurance plan, you may receive partial reimbursement for services.
Checking Your Benefits
If you plan to submit a superbill for reimbursement, it may be helpful to contact your insurance provider ahead of time and ask about:
Out-of-network benefits for developmental or behavioral pediatric services
Deductibles and reimbursement percentages
Whether a referral is required
While reimbursement cannot be guaranteed, many families are able to receive partial coverage through their insurance plans.
